40 Meter Wire Vee Beam – Three Element Bi-Directional

General

This is an antenna modeled and designed by Brian (N30C) and installed at his and

Jim's (WX3B) QTHs with great success. You feed each director separately with 

RG-8U or RG-58U 50 ohm coax. You can use a manual antenna switch to switch the 

direction the antenna is pointed (i.e. Northeast to Southwest).

Design Specifications:

If you use insulated wire, multiply all these numbers (except the separation) by .98 

to shorten them a bit, accounting for the velocity factor of insulated wire.
