5H3LP DX-Pedition

In June-July 1999, I had a chance to visit eight African countries in thirty days. During this trip, we spent 6 days in Tanzania. During the day, I spent on the road with Ranger Safaris, who provided us a private tour each day. Each evening, we visited a new remote camp site where I spent time repairing damaged antennas and fixing the camps radio communications equipment. Each camp had ICOM HF rigs fixed for the 40 meter (7.3XX mhx) band.

I also was given the opportunity to operate the HF bands.
