K3LP Rookie Photo Gallery

Since April 15, 1975, I've enjoyed Amateur Radio as a hobby. My first call sign as a Novice was WN6KTF, then WB6KTF when I upgraded to General then Advanced, and in December 1997 I passed my Extra Class License while attending technical school in Phoenix, Arizona and was issued the AA6DC call sign.  I moved from Southern California, Phoenix, Arizona then to Maryland in 1982. For brief period in 1987-1989, I lived in St. Louis, Missouri and operated AA6DC/0, then returned to Maryland in December 1989.

I was a member of the Fontana High School (FOHI) radio club, WB6HJJ, in 1975 and 1976.

In June 1996, I applied for and was issued K3LP under the FCC's vanity call sign program.

Here are some photos and interesting newspaper clips from days gone bye.
