T33C DX-Pedition; Banaba
Island
- T33C - Banaba Island (12 Days) April 2004
GENERAL INFORMATION
The T33C DX-pedition was an incredible trip that involved a dangerous
and sickening tanker ship ride via the Pacific Ocean. Traveling to and
from the Banaba island was exhausting taking over 2 days at sea under bad
weather conditions. It took over 10 hours to unload the T33C team supplies
from the ship. The cargo was transported to shore without losing any
equipment, persons or other valuable resources (i.e. beer, water, etc.).
I happy to report that all T33C Team Members were excellent operators,
and nice and hard working people. It was a pleasure meeting and working
with each of them. I will remember this DX-pedition for the rest of my
life. I had a great time! 73's T33LP (K3LP) David Collingham
